XP BOOT SCREENS

The boot logo u have spent much time creating in Photoshop is displaying in black because u have not saved it in the correct format.
Apparently the loading page is displayed in dos colours, so u have to use the DOS color range (palette). Also limited to 640x480 res. The palete is called 16.act. http://www.thetechgu...bootlogo/16.act
You must save it as a *.bmp and in 4bit. Use save as in Photoshop (not save for web).
I know u may think u're a pro with Photoshop (as do I), but when your colors are so limited, its almost imposible to make anything half as good as 32bit.
What I've done is made a simple loading page, but followed that with a very nice, high detail logon page. You must have your Welcome Page enabled in Control Panel for that to display at all though.

I have the same problem 1stly i odnt know how 2 oe thae file and ti says blocked by win32
It still isnt working and thx 4 the webby but there isnt anythin on there about the boot screens plz help,im beggin if any 1 can tell!! how do you boot in to Comand prompt because i have XP and it dont do that so you use the windows based 1 but how do you restart do i just restart or is there another way plz help me thx

I've a notebook with a xp pro and i tried to boot up XP with one screen from themexp. When computer restarts the boot image os ok but suddendly the XP freezes, and do not continue. I've tried the F8 key and start in safe mode, but the windows don't want to start. Can you help me?

And when i did manage to get the bmp to work, and i rebooted my pc.. the screen didnt even pop up, it was just a black startup screen lol.. i dont get it.

also I can do 32 bit for these and not the old nasty 16bit like on the first screens in xp pro?
