I am working for a mathematical article.. I am doing my work with the help of latex software.. I want choose page numbers of my own.. I look through the help menu, but I can't get it.. Please any one help me.. thankx..

What happens if you try the following, I'm quoting this, can't remember where I found it now :blink:

Change page numbering
If you want to change the page numbering anywhere in your document, e.g. to make sure that the first page in the report is actually page one, you can use \setcounter{page}{1} (anywhere on the page you want to be named 1.)
