Hi, I'll just start off like this, I use my computer for web development/school/work projects and I recently noticed that it was slowing down, and I went to look at my running processes with taskman and it doesn't show up, not even the green cpu usage icon shows up. So my question is, can someone help me fix this issue and help me speed up my computer? I also was using a software that I would mount isos to to act as a CD and didn't turn off the extra drive and now i have a virtual cd rom that does nothing and I can't figure out how to get rid of that so any help on any of these topics would be much appreciated.

I'm just on my way to work, in the meantime

I'm unsure what you mean by this

and I went to look at my running processes with taskman and it doesn't show up, not even the green cpu usage icon shows up

You are talking about Windows Task Manager correct?

Does this help?
http://www.worldstar...s/tips.php/1676

Could you also do the following
Download OTL.exe by OldTimer to your Desktop.
  • Close all windows and double click OTL.exe.
  • Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted.
  • It will produce two logs for you, one will pop up - OTL.txt, the other will be saved on your Desktop - Extras.txt. Post both logs in this thread.

If you get an error posting either of those logs, please upload them in a reply

Do you want to post your own logs from FRST?
Follow the instructions posted Click Here

Yes I am, when I press Ctrl+Alt+Del and get to the Windows Security and click on Task Manager it sends me to my desktop (like it normally would) but does not open the task manager.
