Yes. It was a very clean simple OS from a while back. They were bought by Palm Inc. about 2 years ago I guess and AFAIK don't have the OS up for dl anymore.....I am sure you can get it other places though. They had 2 versions of the OS, first one was free and ran "inside" windows kind of like VMWare does things, but you had to boot to it from windows and then you had to totally reboot to get back to windows...the 2nd version was the $50 version that was standalone....
The free version had a limited total system size of 512MB so you were kind of limited. I do know of several projects that are building on the advances of BeOS as it had some very well developed ideas in regards to the OS.
