NOT a scam!
My friend just called me around 15 minutes ago telling me he got the iPod from the offer. I had reffered for him about 1 week ago, not thinking it was really gonna happen.
Anyways,
I was thinking that if we had atleast 5 people who were interested in this, we could all get an iPod. We could all reffer for each other.
Now to reffer, unfortunatelly you do need a credit card. But it won't cost you a penny, because as soon as you sign up, you can cancel it (Which I did) and there is no cancelation fee.
After 1 person gets their iPod, we can help the next person get theirs.

Ancestry.com is the easiest offer. I waited until it was available and signed up via web and cancelled in about an hour. Within 5 minutes of me signing up with Ancestry.com through the freeipods.com site I was shown as approved and my offer was then completed. Very easy. Zero Cost to me, except time.
One thing to note about Ancestry.com is you get a 14 day free trial and if you don't cancel within the 14 days their subscription is $200. So cancel before the 14 days or you will become intimate with Ancestry.com.

I'm a college student and could really use an ipod. If anyone needs a referral, I'll sign up if you sign up for me. Plus, after you use me as a referal, you will only need 4 more to get your free ipod. I've searched the web and have only seen positive things about this offer. A lot of you have heard about this free ipod business and have thought, "no way," but it's completely legit my friend. I have read a million message boards with people who have successfully received a free ipod and have even read articles containing interviews with the owners of the free ipod company. The thing is, you have to sign up for one of the FREE promotional offers from one of the affiliated companies, like Blockbuster, AOL, BMG Music and more. In most cases you don't have to pay anything, but with a lot of them you will have to pay shipping and handling for the free trial product to be shipped to you which can cost anywhere from $6 to $10. But that beats the hell out of paying $300 for the ipod! All of the offers do rquire a credit card however, but if you're thinking, "sounds a little fishy," these are trial offers and you have a certain length of time to try the product and have to cancel before that time expires or you will be charged the regular fee. Ofcourse it doesn't take much to cancel the membership. Anyway, I still need 3 more people and was hoping some good simaritan may join the program using my referal link below. See, I won't get credit for anyone joining unless they go through my referal. PLEASE PLEASE HELP. If you're going to join anyway, why not go through my referal? PLEASE! It's definitely not a scam. The one frustration is that you may have to wait a month to get it. Here is a good guide, if you have any questions.

I would agree, definitely not a scam. Has been proven to be run by legitimate marketing companies. If you are doubting, just google free ipod or whatever and you will find several hundred articles. There is also an article on wired.com about the success of people getting their ipods. Help me out, if you have not already joined one of the sites.
