/ph34r.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' /> Is their any way to downlaod service pack 1a without having it check to see if your hardware signature is compatible with the cd key you put in during installation.
EX: I am unable to install windos xp sp1a because one of my computers has an invalid installation key (the key put in when i installed xp) which does not match some kind of signature that is with my hardware.

Maybe your XP you installed is not an original but a burned copy, right? The key you used before is nolonger valid because the key is know by m$ belong to a highly copied and illegal XP cd. This is their way of putting on the brakes to these illegal copies and making people buy the real thing in order to upgrade. When SP2 comes out the same thing will happen again. Their is a way around this just like their is for activation but you have to figure out how.
