hey guys,
heres the thing, im installing winXP pro on a new built system with a promise378 s-ata raid adapter on the mobo. The thing is, the floppy drive connector on the mobo has been damaged somehow which means i dont have a floppy drive available. The problem is that when your installing Xp using raid you have to specify any raid drivers you want to load (by pressing f6 near the start of the install...yknow where i mean). The bad news is it will only let u load drivers from the floppy drive (a:). I dont have one!! Is it possible in any way to either load the drivers from an alternate source or trick XP into thiink drive A is somewhere else. Some1 said i might be able to do that if i had 2 cdroms using the subst command to make one of the drives map as A:. I do have 2 cdroms but dont know how to do it this way. any help is greatly appreiciated. thanks alot. Mark.
