Title: Asus Tx 97 - How many SdRam
Post by: eleger91 on February 01, 2004, 12:38:05 PM
Hello everybody,

I've a mb Asus tx97 (latest drivers dl).
I try to put the most sdram (pc 66, 100 or 133) on it.
The mb accept 2x128mo but there is 3 slots on it.
The third can't be used because if I put a 128mo stick, the bios announce 32mo !!??
And if I put 128mo on the 1st, 32mo on the 2d ans 128 on the 3d, the bios announce 96 mo !!??

So, do someone have a solution to get more than 2x128mo ?

thanks everybody.

This is info from your motherboard manual.
System Memory Equipped with three (3) DIMM sockets to support (8, 16, 32, 64, or 128MB) 168-pin SDRAM memory modules up to 256MB
As you can see that board can only handle up to 256MB of memory total!!!
So if you do what you are doing and putting 2 128 dimms in then a 32 it won't work.  /rolleyes.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' />
