Title: Regedit will not saty open.

When I go in to regedit from run, it comes up for a few seconds   then closes.  Any help would be appreciated.

Possible Virus infection

Even the task manager would be behaving in same manner.

Run Virus Scan with latest virus update.

Nikhil is probably right about the virus. However, a quick workaround is to rename \windows\regedit.exe to regedit.com, bypassing the block.

It was a virus/worm. Found it, Deleted it, everything fine now.
