Title: 2 PCs - 3 monitors
Post by: Guest_confused on April 27, 2004, 01:14:03 AM
/blink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' />  confused here. here's the setup... we have 2 computers in the office, and 3 monitors. the 3rd one is my boss's. right now, his monitor is connected to one of the PCs via a splitter. is it possible, or is there an available hardware that can be connected to both PCs at the same time, so that my boss can view our screens one at a time? right now, when my boss wants to view my screen, I have to remove the splitter from the other PC and connect it to mine. And then back again.... argggh!

That's very unusual but I bet a four port KVM will work.
Use the video portion of the KVM and forget about using the keyboard/mouse connections.
Split from each of the monitors and run one side to the KVM and the other to its perspective PC.
Your boss can select a PC he needs to see by pushing a button without disrupting the user.
