Title: maya 5.0 question

hello

I need to find out how to orient the translation pivot in Maya 5.0. In 3DS Max it is as simple as clicking the "Affect Pivot only" Button and using the normal tools on the pivot.
Maya lets me move the pivot around after pressing "insert" but I cannot rotate the pivot.
