I'm not familiar with how to apply the .act file provided to create a boot screen. I can follow the directions perfectly but it doesnt mention anything about how to apply or open the file. Ive gotten as far as loading all 3 images in photoshop.. but now for the palette.

I too am using Photoshop 7. I gotten as far as creating a custom boot screen, but when ever I try to import my bitmap with the reshacker, I get a pop up telling me "Bitmap image is invalid." I followed all the instructions. Why am I getting this error? If anyone has any answers please email me at "[email protected]"

The file is too many colors. Try doing this, make sure you backup your pic, and open it in microsoft paint. Dont laugh.... it works fine for me. As soon as you open it goto save as and in the drop down box choose 16 color bitmap and save. It will now accept your pic in reshack.
*warning*
Will lose much quality when going to 16 color format, but this is only way.

*EDIT*
I meant 256 colors, not 16.

Isnt it possible to raise the numbers of colors or change the colors ???
