I just bought Dell Inspirion 300m, I got an external DVD writer with Dell D-Bay.
The Dell D-Bay has got a specific kind of USB connector, which has a double USB socket as against normal single USB socket(This double USB socket, as per dell people, withdraws power from cpu). I need some advice as to how I can connect my this external DVD D-Bay writer to a normal USB port.
Would appreciate any help on this.

/sad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' /> That's the beauty of propietary systems. One good note, the floppy drive that fits in the DBay, does have a mini-USB slot on the side and Dell provides the cable so you can use the floppy in any USB slot that is powered.
