Hello all!
My system also got infected with easysearch scumware.
I was reading previous posts and have kind of global picture of the problem, however I am not very proficient in this area of computing. I would be very grateful if someone could verify my log and advise me on solution.
Indications are:
- Even tough I delete it every time - X casino icon always appears on desktop when connected to internet
- Even tough I delete it every time - When connected to internet 8 new items is added to my IE favorites: bestsearch, easysearch, spyware removal, casino, Viagra, gift certificate, web hosting, popup blocker – all of the links lead to easyserch.cc, thebestsearch.net or ilikesurfing.cc
- When IE is open default page us changed to about:blank and it leads to easysearch page
- When browsing internet my clicks are hijacked (for example, clicking on yahoo inbox link sometimes takes me to random porn, casino, or search pages) In same time my McAfee antivirus goes “mad” keep repeating detection and deletion of some Trojan in one of the Java subfolders!
- From time to time (offline and online) fake Windows notification pop-up window appears “reporting” that Windows detected various list of spyware and ask if I want to remove it. If clicked Yes – it opens IE with ilikesurfing.cc (spam site)
