Title: Charter.net internet and linksys nr041 router

I have Charter.net cable internet, and called them about help hooking up my NR041 Linksys router.  And they told me they don't support routers, so won't help me.  Does anybody know how to do that with this internet service?

I have charter cable and I am using a netgear router.The first thing I did was go to my computer,control panel,internet options,connections,lan settings check the box automatic detect lan setting,then I turned the computer off.I then connected my router to the cable modem and my computers to the router,first I turned the modem on,then the router on,then the computers on,the router recognized the modem and the computers and automacitally assigned ip addresses for each computer.I hope this helps
