I'm working on a friends computer because it was totally loaded with spyware from his kids, well i deleted and uninstalled a lot of it but it still runs really slow. I increased the paging file size and it just eats that up right away. I'm assuming its a virus because i can't install norton at all, it always prevents the installation. Also when i try and do a boot scan with norton it wont' really scan the computer, it can't seem to find the c:. Nor when i'm in dos mode and boot off the cd drive I cannot find the c:, it always says invalid drives. Anyone have any help out there? Any ideas on what I can do without reformatting the whole thing? Thanks!
