Title: cant copy files to cd-rw
Post by: tex229 on August 08, 2004, 05:26:21 PM
Howdy, I am having problems copying any file to the cd-rw or the dvd-rw.  both work ok when burning audio or video files, using burning programs like realone player and tmpgenc dvd writer.  All I get is "please insert a disk into drive (x)"  I have inserted a blank cd,  try to open drive, I get" drive (x) is inaccessible".  Pc is one year old t machines t2245, with win xp home ed. I have three drives, cd-rw, came with pc, dvd burner, and zip iomega 100MB, which works fine. I encountered this problem about three months ago, but always used the zip drive to transfer files.  Audio and dvd disks play ok, no problems.  Could a trojan be responsible?Might I have removed a setting? I have little tech know-how, and always run spyware and virus scanner programs.  thanks

Are the files you are copying data files or other? Proper drivers installed and updated?
