Title: Networking Problems
Post by: Frankie on August 24, 2004, 10:30:40 PM
I've seen many posts about similar problems here and on other sites i found on google, but my problem seems to be just a bit off.  I have two computers, both running XP Pro, Frankie and Bones.  Bones can access everything on Frankie just fine, and both machines can ping each other and see each other in the workgroup.

This is were things get weird.  Frankie can access individual shares of Bones, i.e. \\Bones\drop  however it cannot access the root.

If I attempt to go to \\Bones i get the "is not accessible. You might not have permission...." message.

Any ideas?

Did you try unsharing the HDD completely and then re-enableing share? Perhaps Windows set incorrect permissions.
