Title: Free Windows SP2 Update CD From Microsoft

Well this is for all you poor folks out in dialup land.  If you’re running Windows XP you should be upgrading to SP2 but I’m sure you don’t want to bother downloading a 100MB+ file either.

Microsoft said they would make a big push to get SP2 distributed to the masses and they’ve made good on their promise.  You can now order a SP2 CD directly from Microsoft free of change.  You don’t even have to pay shipping!

Now the one problem.  It’ll take 4 to 6 weeks for delivery.  That is a long time to wait considering even for dialup you could get the SP2 installer downloaded in less time.  But hey it’s free from Microsoft so why not take advantage of it?  It’ll be handy for the future should you reinstall your OS at some point or just to loan to family and friends.

Head on over to the Microsoft Website (http://\"http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/sp2/cdorder/en_us/default.mspx\") and order your CD today.  There’s no reason not to!

I live in New York and if you go to Staples Tech Center they have the CDs in the back.  You have ask for it.

 I wonder if Staples Tech centers in my area will have that disk??

I would give it a try at staples, why not!

It took me 16 days to get mine after ordering online
They ship it by courier service
If your not home you use to have to run to the Courier depot and pick it up, now they just drop it off at the house with a stamp
No signature required.....

Clean the system of spyware and viruses, if any

Ensure that device drivers are up to date and clean out your temp folders
Make sure programs are all up to date
and install SP2

Hi!! I use a pirated copy of win xp sp2. I reqd the disc for a hard copy. So is it safe to order it or should i download it instead again when i need it cause i have cable but i want it on another pc which doesn't.
