I reformatted my computer and reinstalled XP, but during the installation, I got an error message that said cannot find driverS.cab. So I installed XP without it. Now whenever I plug in any new hardware, XP always asks for me to insert the XP cd. Before I reinstalled XP, the hardware would be automatically installed without the cd. Is this because I did not have driverS.cab? I looked into my XP cd, and there is a driver.cab file. Do I need to reinstall XP and all my programs again? Or if I can just copy the file onto my hard drive, where do I copy it to? Will I need to rename the file as driverS.cab?
