I have a perfect working Swedish version Windows XP Professional Corporate edition with SP1 integrated and a 'valid' corporate-key. When SP2 came in Swedish, it installed without problems. When I bought a new harddrive I made an integrated SP2 CD to install from. But now it won't accept the key.
I've checked Your article Unlocking WinXP's setupp.ini (http://\"http://www.thetechguide.com/howto/setuppini.html\") and found that the first five digits in the PID does not match Yours. Is it because mine is in Swedish? Please explain the first digits in the PID. Can I change the first five digits without corrupting the CD?

You can change it, but I doubt it will help. I have the US english version and I cannot get the Legit Volume Lic. copy to accept an OEM Key following the setupp.ini doc at all. Ive tried using the exact PID from the example in the unlocking doc and get the same results. Has MS made changes to how this seutpp.ini thing works?

I know this may or may not be off topic, but I am frustrated by this. Even with all the help from the net itself, I simply cannot extract SP-2 to my copied CD in the HD. Also, I have no idea of how to get ahold of my WinZip, as it's already included with XP right? I'm updating several computers at the same time with this CD, but for some reason, like I said above, I can't extract SP2. I've even ordered the CD from MS, but it'll take a long time with me having dial-up. Is there any way I can do this without using the Run Command, as I've already tried that one? If so, please reply, and send an email to this address....omnislash902001Email Removed Thanks again for reading this.
