Title: "No Operating System" When Booting UP!
Post by: Tamara on September 22, 2004, 07:07:35 PM
I had to adjust a loose RAM memory card inside my CPU, because the system was not aware that there was a memory card in the slot.  Upon booting up my system after this, I got "no Operating System" printed out on my DOS screen.  I've tried to go into fdisk.exe while using my emergency boot disk, but the system does not recognize any fixed disk and I am told that the FAT32 file system on my hard drive is not valid.  I tried reformatting the C: drive, and it does not allow me to do this!  Is there anywhere I can go from here to get windows up and running, even if I have to reinstall all of my programs and loose everything on the C: drive???
Thank You, I hope you can help!
