Title: Logging printer output??

Hey!

SInce i am new to this forum i\'d like to say hi first /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

and now the question:
Does anyone know how can i \"supervise\" the usage of ink on local printers. We use WIN98 and mostly HP\' printers, but some users just print too much ad i\'d like to know how much exactly are they printing.

Try this freeware program. I have not tried the program but it looks (from the screenshots) to be able to handle local and networked printers. The program author used to write for winmag.com before it went belly up, and she has a number of other interesting utilities available.

There are other programs available out there, but this is free and comes from a reputable programmer.

Sunbelt software also have a print logging and control program available. There is a trial version of this - do not know what time or other restrictions are present with this - but the software is basically commercial and not cheap. But if you are into controlling excess usage then there is probably an argument about \"spend a penny, save a pound (or dollar)\"
