This will help identify certain problem areas of the registry where hijackers like to add certain keys and values...
Identifies running processes and start page entries.
But first---Make a permanent folder for Hijackthis
Double Click "MY Computer"
Open your C: drive
Click "File" >>> "New" >>>> "Folder"
A new folder will be created, name it HJT
Now you will have C:\HJT
Download Hijackthis from HERE (http://\"https://ssl.perfora.net/tools.radiosplace.com/HijackThis.exe\") or HERE (http://\"http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe\")
Save it to that new folder
Open Hijackthis
Do a SCAN----Scan will change to SAVE LOG----copy and paste the WHOLE contents of the log
here... Don't try and fix anything yet----It is all important
Do you have any Spyware protection or removal tools
Please don't install any that you see in a popup window, they can usually do more harm than good.
I have links to free ones that are legitimate, but let's see a Hijackthis log first, thanks.
