Title: Another question about ntscrnl.exe
Post by: Helven on November 29, 2004, 05:55:59 AM
I tried to change my boot-screen after having read an article here, too. And I did change some details. But when I used a photo for a background (bitmap from the first folder in the ResHack console) and tried to replace the original bitmap with that one which included a photo, the following message appeared: "Access violation at address 00402791 in module 'ResHack.exe' Write of address 012DB000."  /sad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' /> And then, if I saved this ntscrnl.exe file, nevertheless, the same message appeared when I tried to look once again at that bitmap in the Resource Hacker.

Of course, I didn't use that 16-coloured palette to creat that bitmap. But I saw some multi-coloured boot-screens - ones with photos, etc. - so it's possible to creat them somehow...

How could I do that? Could anybody help me, please?
