Title: Auto-Protect in Norton Antivirus

hello all,

just a small question to reassure me that all is quite normal.
I have just installed Windows XP, and Norton Antivirus.
when I boot Windows, Norton Auto-Protect launches out well automatically in the taskbar, but it is barred with a red cross at the beginning, and this cross disappear after one or two minutes.

is it normal?
is my PC well protected from the moment the red cross have disappeared?
and if so, why is there this red cross at the beginning, thing which did not happened when I turned under Windows 98?

This happens to mine as well. All is normal. It has something to do with it being enabled during startup, I think. Its working though.
