Hi .s1, is that your Hijackthis log above?
What is the exact error message your getting, I believe the other users couldn't run .exe files
I see you posted a hijackthis log, so that's not it
Also look in your C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder
Do you see rundll32.exe?
What other files do you see that begin with run
Would you be able to start a fresh topic in this forum and post your log
May not be as confusing
In reply to "guestolo" post.
My problem is whnever i try to click on a icon in the start menu.. or right clikc on the desktop and try to get to the display properties, or right click on my computer, or get into add / remove programs, or double click to START up a program, or anythign that has to do with using the computer, i get
Windows Cannot Find < insert program location here> . Make sure you typed the name[..]
When ever i try to go to add / remove programs or go to my computer properties , etc i get the rundll32 error.
"Do you see rundll32.exe?"

"What other files do you see that begin with run"
Theirs a "runas.exe " as well as a "runonce.exe" but neither look to suspicious. Other then that, no other run in system32.

Is it just the rundll32 error and that's it?
You can't run any programs at all without this happening
Another user had a similiar problem
HERE (http://\"http://www.thetechguide.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=11553\")
But I want to make sure that your extensions are proper on the rundll32 file
* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide Extensions for known file types
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.
Does rundll32 have the .exe extension?
Where did you download your version of rundll32.exe from
You may want to try here

My files are not hidden, the foldere options are fine, the run.dll i have in the folder is "application" thus it IS a .exe and that site is where i got it from.
