Title: Desperate for a solution to a computer problem
Post by: gomeister85 on December 24, 2004, 01:58:05 PM
Hey, can anyone out there help me out with this problem? Whenever I log on to the computer now, my desktop is replaced by some blue screen that says that Windows has detected spyware on my computer and gives me a whole spiel about spyware. Then, if you click anywhere on the screen other than the desktop icons, it sends me to the website topantispyware.com. I've done everything I can possibly think of for someone less versed in computer stuff. I've run Ad-Aware SE Personal, I've run Spybot, I've even downloaded and run two different antispyware programs- Spy Hunter and something else. I've also run TrendMicro's free online virus scan (antivirus.com) and Panda Software's free online scan (pandasoftware.com). In addition, I have MacAfee's Viruscan Consule on my computer telling me that I have 3 things I cannot get rid of. Two of them are in Document and Settings/Local Settings/(insert a name here)/Temporary Internet Files and on and on. One it says is just in C:/. I can't get rid of them and MacAfee say it cannot get rid of them either. Now, I'm down to my last bid. I've download Hijackthis and have run it in safe mode, but there doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary. Maybe someone can find it for me please?
Here's what my Hijackthis logfile says:
