Title: Recovery of email from Outlook
Post by: Guest_Steve on January 02, 2005, 02:44:29 AM
Hi,
I was in the process of upgrading from W2000 to XP when I got an error that I could not get around and ended up installing from scratch. In the process I had to reinstall all my programs including Office2000 which included Outlook. I was able to bring back the pst file which had the calandar, address book, and tasks but it did not recover any of the emails that were in the inbox. Are inbox items stored seperately and if so where are they stored? Is there anywhere to recover the inbox since all have been deleted off my ISP mail server.

Thank you in advance for any insight you may provide,

Steve

Sad to say but I doubt that you will be able to recover them but there is a possibility It would be located probably at:C:\Documents and Settings\(what ever your user name is)\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook. It would be the outlook file.If its not there then you probably can't recover it.
