Title: Which is better ?

What Windows OS are people most comfatable with first off, and why, which is more stable, which runs overall better (ps my hardware specs are in another post just before this)

Windows 2000
Windows ME
(or Windows XP if they have it)

Second of all, which OS would u recommend for me, I use my computer for developing software, internet, common desktop applications like MS Office and Lotus, burning CD\'s and general power user stuff. (thats poweruser in terms of 95/98/ME not 2K)

ME used to be as good as it can get in the Pc world UNTIL !

I upgraded my machne and what you might not be aware of but worth a mention is ME does not support memory over
512mb.
Its upthere in the knowledge base /sad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' />((
So if your spec is lower than the memorey above.
Go for Me for being the allrounder /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

by the way i\'m switch to 2000 due to the memorey issue!!!
