My computer is running much slower then it should be, spybot tends to find things and not be able to delete them. ISearchteach.powerscan keeps comming back and eventually it brings its friends ISearchtech.ISP and a few others. Also Norton keeps popping up virus reports saying i am infected with a trojan and the file was automatically deleted. Here is my HijackThis log. I dont know much about this program or what any of it means, thats why Im asking for your help.

Actually you have a few problems on your computer, but with some cleaning you can be running smooth again
Access your Add/Remove Programs and remove if found
SurfSideKick
Wintools for IE
Esyndicate
SideStep
Restart your computer in between removing each one, if anything is found
Back in Windows I would also access your add/remove programs and remove
Viewpoint Manager
WildTangent <--there may be 3 entries, optional, but if you don't use it I would remove it
Restart your computer again if anything removed
Back in Windows
Download and Install the free version of Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.05 (http://\"http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/\")
Ensure you have this version or the paid version
Open Ad-Aware, ensure to click the check for updates now link and Connect to download the latest updates
When installing it may update and start a scan
Double check to make sure that you are updated!
But Don't run a scan yet
Instead>>>You are also infected with Peper trojan
Download and save to desktop
PeperFix.exe (http://\"http://downloads.subratam.org/PeperFix.exe\")
Once you have done the above,
Please PRINT out these instructions or save to a Notepad file on your desktop
I will need you to Restart your computer into safe mode
Disconnect from the Internet (Close down all browser windows)
Stay disconnected for the rest of this
Double click to Open Peperfix.exe
Click the "Find and Fix"
Follow the prompts
When it's done
RESTART your Computer in SAFE MODE (http://\"http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2001060608000039?OpenDocument&ExpandSection=4#_Section4\")
In safe mode run PEPERFIX.exe one more time
Stay in safe mode
Open Ad-Aware
Perform a Full system scan--"Uncheck Search for Negligible Risk Entries" before scanning
When it's finished scanning
At this point you should either right click on the screen and and choose the "Select All" Objects option or individually put a checkmark in each objects checkbox
click on the Next button. Ad-Aware SE will now present you with a confirmation box as to whether or not you would like to remove the objects you have just selected. Press the "OK" button
RESTART your computer to Normal mode
Follow these instructions closely
I would also advise you to run this free trial version of TDS-3
Download the trial version of tds-3 anti trojan from here:
http://www.diamondcs.com.au/tds/downloads/...s/tds3setup.exe (http://\"http://www.diamondcs.com.au/tds/downloads/tds3setup.exe\")
This is good for 30 days
Install it and Restart your computer when prompted
Don't run a scan yet
When your back in Windows it's important to update the latest RADIUS database
IMPORTANT>>>Right click the link below, select "save target as" or save link as
http://www.diamondcs.com.au/tds/radius.td3 (http://\"http://www.diamondcs.com.au/tds/radius.td3\")
Save it to the directory where you installed TDS-3
The default location should be
C:\Program Files\TDS3
Allow it to overwrite the previous radius.td3
Again, don't run a scan yet
Restart back into Safe mode
Launch TDS-3. In the top bar of tds window click system testing> full systemscan.
Let it completely finish scanning---Even if it appears to hesitate at times
Detections will appear in the lower pane of tds window after the scan is finished ( it'll take a while ) Right click the list> select save as txt.>> save this to a convienent location, I'll need to see it later
After saving the scandump.txt go ahead and right click the list of alarms again, this time select delete...only delete those with POSITIVE IDENTIFICATION
Restart back to Normal mode
Post a fresh Hijackthis log and the scandump.txt from TDS-3
Do what you can from the above, regardless, post back a fresh hijackthis log

I didn't notice you were running an outdated version of Hijackthis
Before we try any manual fixes with Hijackthis
Could you update your version of Hijackthis and post a new log
Open Hijackthis>>CONFIG>>Misc Tools
Click the "Check for updates online"
If it won't update you can download the latest version from my Signature below
Post back with a log from Hijackthis 1.99
Did you update TDS-3 before you ran it?
-

Let's see if we can clear the leftovers
Open Hijackthis>>>Open the Misc tools section>>Open the Delete File On Reboot
In the blank File name field, copy and paste the full path of file to delete in bold
to it
C:\WINDOWS\jvynlfm.exep
Restart into safe mode and look for this file and delete it if it exists
C:\WINDOWS\jvynlfm.exep <--this file
Stay in safe mode
also look for this folder and delete it if it still exists
C:\Program Files\DR_S <--this folder
Do another scan with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [09¿Ì*ú]Mú*ÀaîžaaøYC:\Program Files\ISTsvc\istsvc.exe] C:\WINDOWS\jvynlfm.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [09¿Ì*ú]Mú*ÀaîžaaîžaC:\Program Files\ISTsvc\istsvc.exe] C:\WINDOWS\jvynlfm.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [DR_S] C:\Program Files\DR_S\DR_S.exe
You can fix the next one too if it's unneeded on startup or leftover
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Yahoo! Pager] 1
After you have ticked the above entries, close All other open windows, including this one
Leave Hijackthis open and click FIX CHECKED
YES and exit Hijackthis
Post back with a fresh hijackthis log afterwards
Could you also
Open Notepad (START>>>RUN>>>type in notepad) hit Enter
Copy the Whole contents of the Quote box to notepad
In Notepad click FILE>>SAVE AS
Name the file as Export.bat
Save this file on the desktop
regedit /e HKCURun.txt "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run"
regedit /e HKLMRun.txt "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run"
copy HKLMRun.txt + HKCURun.txt = Output.txt
del /q HKLMRun.txt
del /q HKCURun.txt
notepad Output.txt
del /q Output.txt
Double click on Export.bat
It will produce a log>>Output.txt
Can you copy and paste the Whole contents of the Output.txt back here too, thanks

After that is saved
For backup purposes let's create a new restore point
Not to worry, I just want you to have a Restore point to fall back on, we don't need you to restore any fixes we've already repaired
Go to START>>All Programs>>Accessories>>System tools>>System Restore
Click the Create a Restore point
Name it click Create
After that is done
Reboot into safe mode
Double click on fix.reg and allow it to merge to the registry
Restart back to Normal mode and post back a fresh hijackthis log

Good Work justin, all clear
I want to post some final cleanup procedures but I'm just stepping out for an hour or so
Look for my final posting to ya
/biggrin.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':D\' />

Thanks a ton for the help man, your the best. Couldnt have done it without you. You were quick about it too, every time i checked you had new instructions for me. Thanks again i really appreciate it man. =)

Now that it appears that everything is running better
and you made that fresh new restore point
/smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />
You should disable system restore---restart your computer--enable system restore
This will clear all your restore points and ensure you don't restore any nasties
Once reenabled it will create a fresh restore point
How to Disable and Re-enable System Restore feature (http://\"http://vil.nai.com/vil/SystemHelpDocs/DisableSysRestore.htm\")
Once back in Windows and System Restore is reenabled
You should set up protection against future attacks
SpywareBlaster by JavaCool---will block bad ActiveX and malevolent cookies
Install---Check for Updates---Enable all protection
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html (http://\"http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html\")
IE-Spyad---IE-SPYAD puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.
Here is a tutorial and download link
TUTORIAL==Link to Tutorial (http://\"http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/index.php?showtutorial=53\")
Download link==Download link (http://\"https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ehowes/www/resource.htm#IESPYAD\")
Scroll down and click on IE-SPYAD.EXE Free! or IE-SPYAD2.EXE Free!
Regular IE-Spyad for the individual user or IE-Spyad 2 for global protection(All users) on your computer
You only need one or the other
With both, Check for updates every couple of weeks
Keep the link to IE-Spyad bookmarked so you can check for updates
SpywareBlaster, after every update just simply enable all protection
Hold onto Ad-Aware along with Spybot and check for updates every couple of weeks
A little added protection
Open Spybot>>Click on Immunization>>OK>>Immunize at the top
Do this after every update
Concerning this entry in your log
O1 - Hosts: 64.91.255.87 www.dcsresearch.com
It was set by TDS-3.You can fix it or wait until you have uninstalled TDS-3 to remove it with Hijackthis
If you want to hold onto TDS-3 for the complete 30 days
Ensure you update the latest RADIUS database before running a final scan
Bookmark this link and update from previous instructions>>This is up to you
Hold onto it or uninstall it
/wink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\';)\' /> I would keep it for the duration
http://tds.diamondcs.com.au/index.php?page=update (http://\"http://tds.diamondcs.com.au/index.php?page=update\")
Stay safe
