I picked up a new Dell Dimension 8400 and 2005FPW flat pane (widescreen) monitor. Optimal resolution is 1680x1050 but it does not support 1600x1200. My second machine is a Dell Latitiude C840 with an Nvidia GeForce 440 Go and resolution options jump from 1280x1024 -> 1600x1200. I'm hoping there is an updated driver somewhere that allows the GeForce 440 Go to display 1680x1050. Anyone know?
Thanks..

You could try Nvidia's site
Download the latest driver to desktop
http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp (http://\"http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp\")
Afterwards enter your Add/Remove programs and Remove the current software for Nvidia
Restart your computer
Install the newest
To ensure you are clean of the old driver you could try this utility
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=3214 (http://\"http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=3214\")
I think instructions are
Remove old drivers>>Restart to safe mode>>run the clean utility
Restart back to Normal
Install the newest driver
Restart again
But check the readme file that comes with the CleanUtility if you use it
Hope this helps
