Post by: MayerWeb on February 11, 2005, 01:23:14 PM
Hello! I have winxp home and bought some software. On install the error 'windows/system32autoexec. file not suitable for running MS-DOS and microsoft windows applications.' Comes up. I have config, autoexec and command already copied into the win32 file. What else do I need to do to run the software. I need simple directions. I have been told many conflicting things. Anyone who can help, THANKYOU!

What happens it you navigate to the
C:\WINDOWS\REPAIR
folder
Copy Autoexec.nt from that folder and paste it too the
C:\WINDOWS\System32 folder

Restart your computer just in case

Any luck?

If not try this link
Download the correct version for your operating system
If your not sure if you have XP home or pro <<never mind, you told us it was xp home  /tongue.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />
Go to START>>RUN>>type in winver
