Title: Windows 98 Actin Funny (Freezing)

One of my old computers is running windows 98, when i boot normaly as soon as it gets in windows it will freeze, after like 2 hours a pop up appears that says

"Explorer has preformed an illegal action and will now be closed"

and then it freezes again.
I can boot just fine in safe mode and i have disabled almost all start ups in msconfig but that didn't help

I can still use my mouse but am unable to click on anything
