Title: Why cant I post news?

Happy new year guys. Ever so often I show up with a random post and go back into hiding.
But why cant I post news?

Sorry to hear bout the doggy... I think we all know how that feels.

What happens when you try to post?  You're part of the Private Members group, which is allowed to start new topics in the News forum...so I'm not sure why it's not letting you.

I think I see the problem...your post did go through, but you just didn't see it right away on the front page, right?  The news script caches now, so instead of accessing the database every single time someone visits the site (creating a huge load on the server), it just checks every once in a while, and caches it.
