Title: dvd burning not working

Hi,
I tried to burn my first dvd today but something went wrong.Well i actually tried to burn 2 as I don't know the difference between dvd+ and dvd-. I went to nero smart and burned them and they will only play on my pc and not in any dvd player.
Where did I go wrong?
