Title: W2K SP2 Slipstream but no i386 folder
Post by: GP151001 on April 04, 2005, 07:33:05 PM
I am trying to follow the "Slipstreaming SP2" instructions found on this website, (http://www.thetechguide.comarticles/slipstream.html). However, no "i386" directory gets created after  extracting the service pack executable. I also tried it on W2K SP4 with no i386 directory getting created either.

Have things changed with the service packs? or am I doing something wrong perhaps?

Thanks.

first have you copied the install cd to your hard drive? if so where.
for me it was   e:\root\win2kpro\i386  what you do next is
%path%\w2ksp4_en.exe /c:e:\root\win2kpro\

%path% = location where w2ksp4_en.exe is located  (which is the sp4 file for english)

It seems the instructions are a little dated but they may also work.
good luck
