Title: Burning software problem

My sonic record now 7.1 that came installed on my pc failed suddenly failed to work. i removed it using add/remove programs , and restarted. I then put the record now disc that came with my comp in the drive and received this message " C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. THE SYSTEM FILE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR RUNNING MS-DOS AND MICROSOFT WINDOWS APPLICATIONS. CHOOSE 'CLOSE' TO TERMINATE THE APPLICATION. "
 Can anyone please help me?
is there a way to retrieve sonic now even thouhg i removed it?
Maybe theres somewhere i should download a different program?
HELP!

i copy and pasted the file, and restarted. it still gave me the same message when i put the disc in the drive.
I have XP PRO, do i still follow the same directions that you said afterwords about the download?

Save the installer to desktop
Double click and follow the prompts to isntall
Restart the computer and try installing from the CD

Make sure you download the version for XP PRO
