I was copying a copy of the Mandrake that came with Max Linux, and all was going well until the near end, and all of the sudden the comp said a file couldn\'t copy. It then gave me a GPF and crashed. Any ideas? A Bill Gates anti Linus Torvalds measure?

I\'ve almost always had problems with MaxPC (and I guess MaxLinux now) CD\'s. They\'re just too cheap. If you can, create an image file of it first. That way, maybe the burner can keep trying to read it until it gets an error-free copy. Then use that iso image to burn all the copies you want.
I\'ve only had limited success with this though. Usually my CD\'s are fine, or are so screwed up nothing can save them (though popping one in linux let me copy half the files off that windows couldn\'t). Never tried copying a MaxPC CD.
