Strange dilemma, windows explorer encounters a problem when I right click anywhere on the desktop, it then hits a Dr Watson loop I have to manually close in task manager.
I am running Win XP Pro SP2, Soyo Plat board, AMD 2700, 1.5 G mem...
No viruses/trojans/etc., registry reads clean, everything else runs well with the exception of an occasional successful registry recovery notice after boot, but this seems to be related to SETI screen saver.
Googling this usually leads me to IE topics, but this is in windows explorer I hit the snag. So far, all attempts have failed.
Any ideas would be helpful. If you have seen this before please email me. note: I do not open attachments however or potentially nefarious file extns.
thanks =)

Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer are essentially the same animal.
Check in your registry for missing or broken keys. This whitepaper on adding items should give you some help.
