You have a few different problems
We're going to have to do this in steps to rid you of all of them
Can you start by creating a new restore point please, if you can
START>>All programs>>Accessories>>System Tools>>System Restore
Create a new restore point
Name it and click Create
Something to fall back on, to this point
Once that is done
Download and Unzip to desktop LSPFIX.zip from this link
http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm (http://\"http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm\")
Disconnect completely from the Internet
Close down all Browser windows, including this one
Ensure that you unzipped LSP fix
With ONLY LSP fix open
Check "I know what I'm doing".
Then select all instances of aklsp.dll(and nothing else) in the left pane,
click the arrow button to have them moved into the right hand panel.(The Removal Pane) Click Finish <--you may have to scroll down a bit to see it, Finish is NOT the X button at the top
Restart your computer
Back in Windows
Download L2mfix from here
http://www.atribune.org/downloads/l2mfix.exe (http://\"http://www.atribune.org/downloads/l2mfix.exe\")
Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

I had some small problems, I did as you said, yet when I went to do this log file deal I had an error. I chose option 1 and hit enter then a window popped up immediately. It said 16 bit ms dos subscreen. In it c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe
c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications
choose close to terminate the application. I clicked close then it came up again and I hit close again. Then the log file popped up. I thought I'd let you know that, that happened.

Let's go after the next infections
We may not get all this time, but we should be getting close
Download and save Find_It_s.zip
UNZIP the contents to desktop so you have the Find_It's folder now on your desktop
Open the folder and double click on FindIt's.bat
Wait for this too do it's job, when it's done it will produce a log, can you post that back here please
By default it will save to C:\Log.txt

After you post this log could you next:
Download FindQoologic from here:
http://forums.net-integration.net/index.ph...=post&id=134981 (http://\"http://forums.net-integration.net/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=134981\")
Save it and UNZIP the folder within to the desktop
Open the folder and run Find-Qoologic2.bat. This will generate a log file; please post the entire contents of the log back here
Could you also post another Hijackthis log and try not too restart your computer again until we try some fixes
I may not see your next response until tomorrow, I must work
/sad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' />
So please be patient

I just wanted to ask if it's a good idea to disconnect the cable that connects to my modem from the back of my computer. I have the comp sideways so I can remove the cable everytime I do a scan. I do this so I get no pop-ups during my scans. Bad idea ? or Is it ok?
Anyways heres the first log file
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL FILES FOUND BY THIS METHOD ARE NOT BAD FILES, THERE MIGHT BE LEGIT FILES LISTED AND PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHILE FIXING. IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF WHAT IT IS LEAVE THEM ALONE.

also, do you think its safe to use my computer for normal use right now? such as browsing the internet and checking e-mails?
-
Good work
Can you please do the following
==Download and Install this small program
to help clean your temp folders, cookies, recylebin
Windows Cleanup (http://\"http://www.antispyware.nextdesigns.net/installs/cleanup.php?type=exe\")
Install for now, don't run a scan yet
==Download the Pocket Killbox (http://\"http://www.downloads.subratam.org/KillBox.zip\")
UNZIP it to a folder of your choice
Please save these instructions to a Notepad file and save it to your Desktop
Disconnect from the Internet
I'm going to ask you to restart in safe mode soon, if your unsure how to would you please look at the link I supplied below ahead of time
RESTART your Computer in SAFE MODE (http://\"http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2001060608000039?OpenDocument&ExpandSection=4#_Section4\")
You can do this by tapping the F8 key as the system is restarting, after the single post beep, or use the link
I supplied for a more detailed explanation
Go to START>>>RUN>>>type in services.msc
Hit OK
In the next window, look on the right hand side for this service
name---- System Startup Service
Double click on it--- STOP the service--If running
In the drop down menu, change the startup type to Disabled
Run Pocket KillBox>>Now killbox and this notepad file is open
In the Full Path of File to Delete box, copy and paste the entire line directly below in bold, do not type this in
C:\WINDOWS\lcfejer.exe
Select the radio button to
Delete on Reboot
Click The Red circle and a white X
When prompted to Delete on Reboot, click YES
If prompted to Reboot Now, Click NO
Do the same for these paths to the file names
C:\WINDOWS\System32\INSTAL~1.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\KJNAO.DLL
C:\Program Files\Ewoqafv\Qzxwg.exe
C:\WINDOWS\cfgmgr51.dll
C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvzrpi.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\DrPMon.dll
C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe
Allow the computer to Reboot
or Restart anyways when you've entered the last full path to the file name

Could you please post this log back along with a fresh hijackthis log, thanks
If you couldn't do a step would you please let me know, so we can adjust the fix
But please inform me about it
-
Ok I encountered these problems: when I went into the command prompt in safe mode and tried to delete the nail executable file it gave me an error that it wasn't there or something along those lines. I still went along with instructions. I did the hijack logfile and I deleted everything that you wanted me to. The nailexe under the F2 column was there and I made sure I got rid of that sucker. Anyways the thing that wasn't in the list was 023 - service: System Startup Service (SvcPRoc) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe I kept going and did everything else. Here are my files.
That is the first file
C:\Documents and Settings\Michael Bert\Desktop\rk

my computer automatically did a norton virus scan today... it found 24 at risk files... my mom thought it'd be cool and erase these from the computer but she told me that 3 weren't erased... the computer seems decent... hopefully I don't have much cleaning ahead of me!! I thought I should let you know that tidbit of information.

Download and then Install
Ewido Trojan Scanner (http://\"http://www.ewido.net/en/download/\")
When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".
When you run ewido for the first time, you will get a warning "Database could not be found!". Click OK. We'll fix that later
From the main ewido screen, click on update in the left menu, then click the Start update button.
After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")
Close out Ewido
Restart into SAFE MODE
Run ewido
Click on the Scanner button in the left menu, then click on the Start button. This scan can take a while, so give it time to run
If ewido finds anything, it will pop up a notification. You can select "clean" and check the boxes "Perform action with all infections" and "Create encrypted backup" before clicking on OK.
When the scan finishes, click on "Save Report". This will create a text file.
Save the report
Restart back to Normal mode
Please then paste the contents of the text file to this thread.
Could you also post one last Hijackthis log too

Delete your copy of Clean.zip and clean.bat on your desktop
Can you please download and unzip to desktop
Clean.zip again
Unzip it to desktop, iSearch.reg and Elite.reg will be placed on the desktop

Double click on iSearch.reg and allow to merge to the registry
Do the same for Elite.reg
Restart your computer
Find and delete these folders if found
C:\WINDOWS\isrvs <-folder
C:\WINDOWS\EliteSideBar <-folder
C:\WINDOWS\bsx32 <-folder
C:\WINDOWS\system32\nsvsvc <-folder
C:\WINDOWS\system32\P2P Networking <-folder
Run Windows CleanUp! again, Log off and back on again
If everything is running better
You should disable system restore---restart your computer--enable system restore
This will clear all your restore points and ensure you don't restore any nasties
Once reenabled it will create a fresh restore point
How to Disable and Re-enable System Restore feature (http://\"http://vil.nai.com/vil/SystemHelpDocs/DisableSysRestore.htm\")
Once back in Windows and System Restore is reenabled
You should set up protection against future attacks
SpywareBlaster 3.3 by JavaCool (http://\"http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html\")
*Will block bad ActiveX Controls
*Block Malevolent cookies in Internet Explorer and Firefox
*Restrict actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer
IE-Spyad---IE-SPYAD puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.
Here is a tutorial and download link
TUTORIAL==Link to Tutorial (http://\"http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/index.php?showtutorial=53\")
Download link (http://\"https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ehowes/www/resource.htm#IESPYAD\")
With both, Check for updates every couple of weeks
Keep the link to IE-Spyad bookmarked so you can check for updates
SpywareBlaster, after every update just simply enable all protection
IE-Spyad is compatible with XP SP2 as well

Spybot search and destroy picks up this call home.biz file... I can't delete it either. Even on startup it wont let me get rid of it. any suggestions? I have to go to work so ill just post a hijack file.

I don't suppose you got SpywareBlaster and IE-Spyad installed, did you?
I guess we have to start over
/huh.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' />
The free version of BearShare is plagued with Spyware
First uninstall it and restart your computer
Don't install another file sharing program until your clean
AFTER your clean, if you still need one install a file sharing program that is Spyware free
Run Ad-Aware again after check for updates and restart the computer to finish the cleaning
Run Spybot after checking for updates
Restart the computer to finish the cleaning
Check for updates with Ewido again and run a scan
Restart the computer
Post back a fresh log afterwards and the log from Ewido

Can you do the following
Open Notepad (START>>>RUN>>>type in notepad)
Hit OK
Copy the contents of the CODE box to notepad
In Notepad click FILE>>SAVE AS
IMPORTANT>>>Change the Save as Type to All Files.
Name the file as fix.reg
Save this file on the desktop
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[-HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\DLMax]
[-HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18\Software\DLMax]
Double click on fix.reg and allow to merge to the registry
If you didn't uninstall Bearshare, you should at least disable it from running on startup
Do another scan with Hijackthis with all other windows closed and fix checked these entries
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName =
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [BearShare] "C:\Program Files\BearShare\BearShare.exe" /pause
Restart your computer afterwards
Open Spybot and Search for updates
Check for problems, let me know if it finds those entries afterwards
