Sorry for the delay, if you still need a hand with your log could you redownload it please
from my signature below and save it too a permanent folder
Here's an example how to make a permanent folder
Double Click "MY Computer"
Open your C: drive
Click "File" >>> "New" >>>> "Folder"
A new folder will be created, name it HJT
Now you will have C:\HJT
Save hijackthis to that folder
Run another scan and post a fresh log

Can you download and UNZIP to desktop Begin.zip
So you now have begin.reg and export.bat on the desktop
Close all other windows and then double click on begin.reg and allow to merge to the registry
Restart the computer
Back in windows, look for this file and delete it if found
C:\WINDOWS\system32\nsc4E.dll <-file
Post back a fresh Hijackthis log afterwards
Could you also double click on Export.bat
A text file will open, can you copy and paste that back here too
Forgot to upload the file, here it is
-
nsc4E.dll removed

What is normal contribution to kethis site in $???

Do another scan with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries:
O18 - Protocol: biblioscape - (no CLSID) - (no file)
After you have ticked the above entries, close All other open windows, including this one
Leave Hijackthis open and click FIX CHECKED
OK the prompt and exit Hijackthis
Restart the computer and let me know if that entry comes back
If it does can you post a fresh Hijackthis log
-
biblioscape is a known program to me ... excuse my ignorance... but why should I tak something from a known program ... its a librarian type program for bibliography
-
The entry looks orphaned Adam
Is the program working fine now????
Can you download and save to desktop Export1.zip
So you now have Export1.bat on the desktop
Double click on Export1.bat>>A new text file will be placed on the desktop
Can you open Export.txt and copy and paste back the contents
-
Tried to erase
Rescanned orphaned file still there....log follows

We could probably remove the entry with a registry fix, but I don't know much about the program
To be safe
Have you applied the appropriate patch for your version
http://www.biblioscape.com/patch_readme.htm (http://\"http://www.biblioscape.com/patch_readme.htm\")
-
I use bibloexpress
Its still working fine.
-
Sorry, I know nothing of the program, not a thing
I'm not sure if you can apply the patches to the express version or not
EDIT>>the link I posted to the patches also has a link to the forum
You may want to find out if you can apply the patches to the express version
It does appear that the patch fixes protocol handler problems
But if you have no problems with the program you may want to leave it alone
As said, I'm not sure
