Title: Shutdown problems Win2k & XP
Post by: n3mesis_tdr97 on September 16, 2001, 06:31:29 AM
I\'ve been having this annoying problem in both win2k and winXP.

When I want to SHUT DOWN the computer, it only restarts..why??..I have APM enabled. When I disable APM I get the \"It\'s now safe to turn off...\" screen instead..???

please help me, \'cause I\'m sure I\'m not the only one with this problem...

I had the same problem too
I enabled APM in the device manager
-show hidden devices
-NT APM legacy supprt
Then I disabled ACPI in the bios and enabled APM
I have chosen for \" device manager\" -computer - \"standard PC\" so I have the right  hal.dll for APM , and no troubles with shutdown  of w2k .
