Hi,
I\'m having a prob with my explorer. If I click on a file, any file, as long as its at the end of its file path, I get the follwing error message:
AN ERROR HAS OCCURRED IN THE SCRIPT ON THIS PAGE
LINE: 260
CHAR: 4
ERROR: OBJECT DOESN\'T SUPPORT THIS PROPERTY OR METHOD
CODE: 0
URL: FILE://CWINDOWSWEBFOLDER.HTT
DO YOU WISH TO CONTINUE RUNNING SCRIPTS ON THIS PAGE?
Any ideas??? The os is 98se - I\'ve tried the microsoft KB and it basically said to re-install windows to refresh the .htt files. I\'ve tried uncostomising the desktop, tried to install IE6, tried lowering the resolution, and I\'m running out of ideas.
Anyone???

disable active desktop and web view in folders.
you can also delete the offending htt file. (back up or rename it first)
why dont you extract it off the 98 cd?

folder.htt is on win98_44.cab , at least on the win98 upgrade
disk . It\'s size is 12.314bytes , size on disk 16.384 bytes .
I wonder if it is not the same as in win98se

Cheers lads, all is sorted, no more script error....deleted the files, but I do have backups on disk, just hope that they weren\'t that important.
Any thoughts???

Deleting usually isnt a problem. the htt files are the ones which create those annoying click here to show content messages when you browse to c:windows or c:windowssystem
looky...u saved a click
