Title: missing files

hi,
while deleting different items on my desktop an entire folder that i didnt delete and was saved on the desktop went missing !!
using windows search didnt comeup with anything.
what can i do ?
i need a file that was in that folder urgently...
please help me!!!

Before carrying on with your hijackthis log in your other post

Have you checked your recycle bin?

Also, manually navigate to this folder
C:\Documents and Settings\<Your User>\Desktop

Do you see the folder?
