Many videos I download are choppy. MANY. But not all. Anyone else having this problem?
To be sure it wasn't a virus, I wiped the computer and started over. Played some of the same video files and they were fine. When I go to play them a month or two later...they're choppy again. It must be some corruption or virus or something to that extent...or my video card. I'll give the pertinent info:
- WinXP Pro Corp Gold Edition
- Media Player 10
- nVidia FX5200 128mb
- 1GB (2x512Mb) PC3200 Kingston Value RAM
- Microsoft Anti-Spyware
- Spybot S&D
- AVG 7.0 (anti-virus)
Any help would be appreciated if someone has fixed this problem.

Hi BrianC,
You may have to do fresh Download Of Windows Media Player (http://\"http://www.cheapest-computer-hardware-software.com/free-download-of-windows-media-player.html\").
Thanks & regards

Try using something else other then Media player, The problem with media player is after loading several codexs it never uses the right one. Try a DIVX player its free, or see if someone will share a copy of Power DVD with you, you know for testing purposes
