Is it set as a web item on your desktop?

Right click empty area of desktop, properties, desktop, customize desktop, web, then untick everything and click OK, then  OK again

dude, bit harsh aint it? any way, if you are using win98s "active desktop" stuff, then its trying to put your home page onto your destop, and obviously cant connect to it. fiddle around with your display settings, that should do it. if not, gime a bell
