You might have saw my post on how my games randomly exception on me. I might have found a way to kindof fix it. I saw a bunch of people that had the same nvidia GeForce FX 5500 had the same problem. First, I was thinkin about getting a new graphics card, but someone found a way to fix the problem. First I need to disable my onboard sound card. Can anyone tell me how to do this? You're help would be appreciated.

*UPDATE: I've disabled my sound in system, manage hardware. It seems like games are running perfectly fine now. Why in the world would this happen? Any answers would help.

Not sure what computer you have
But check in your BIOS to disable onboard sound
You may have to also check in Advanced options in the bios to disable the onboard audio codec

My computer was custom-built (its not a brand like dell, compaq, etc).
How do I get to my BIOS?
