Help! I am wondering if there is a way to burn a Movie file (Ex. Windows movie maker file) to a dvd that will play in a DVD player.. If there is, I would like a free one
My computer came with a DVD burner, but no software to use with it.. I got Nero but it dosent have a way to burn a DVD.. I guess I get what I pay for,,,, all I can do is copy files to a blank dvd disk..
Any help is apprecetaded...

First of all, what Nero do you have? If it's a retail copy up to date you can burn DVDs with it. If it's the 30-day trail you can still burn DVDs with it, I believe. If not, I'm sure you can find a free trial or something that burns the DVD.
As for the formats, I don't think Nero or anything burns the WMMF file directly to DVD readable format. You'll need to convert that file to MPEG-1 or MPEG-2, TMPGEnc DVD Author is a good program (30 day trial). This is create the .VOB and .IFO files the DVD player will read. Then you just burn those using DVD burn software!

I got a copy of roxio ez cd and dvd creator and that worked, but thanks for your help
I'm still trying that suggestion and by the way its a trial verision.. Still guess that I get what I pay for
