Title: Computer Not Working at all

Hey guys, was wondering if you could help me, my Windows XP wont start up at all, whenever i turn my computer on it starts up and then a box comes up saying Explorer.EXE Failed to initialize properly . And nothing else works or comes up. I am on a different computer right now so im not able to run hijack this or anything else, I would appreciate it if any1 is able give me some input/help. Thanks a lot guys.

How far do you get in the boot up before you get the failure box?  If you have your pc set to boot from cd, you could probably just format it from there, but let's leave that as a last resort option.

and you have tried safe mode?

It seems to be Trojan-Spy.HTML.Smitfraud.c. If you boot into Safe Mode, can you do CTRL+ALT+DEL and then in Task Manager, File (Run) > Explorer? If you can, than scan your system with some antivirus (Dr. Web, Kaspersky or this free one - http://www.free-spyware.co.uk/30166.html (http://\"http://www.free-spyware.co.uk/30166.html\"))
